Flora and Fauna

Nestled in a small ravine Birley Spa has a fairly unique environment. The natural spring flowing through the Bath House to the pond and then onto the Shirebrook Valley, has not been known to freeze. A fact which local ducks are certainly aware of. Having done a bit of research it would appear there has not been a recent study done of the flora and fauna at the Spa, we'll see about that.
Please note that this is very much a work in progress and will constantly be updated. All photographs are taken at the Spa, unless otherwise stated.
